Our Weekend Music Programme
Our Weekend Music Programme gives children and young musicians up to 15 years old the opportunity to explore music, develop their skills and enjoy playing together. Open to students from any school, our Saturday sessions welcome children both from our school community and from elsewhere.
Every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, students experience Garage Band Practice, Marching Band Music Lab and Marching Band. They develop musical skills, confidence, creativity, coordination and teamwork while having fun making music with others.
Students experience the excitement of making music together using guitar, drums, ukulele, piano, bass, lead vocals and backing vocals. They can form their own small bands, learning how to rehearse, listen to each other, keep time and bring different instruments and voices together.
Music Garage Band
Our Marching Band combines music theory, instrumental practice, rhythm, movement and ensemble playing. Students learn to perform and march together as a large group, developing coordination, discipline and teamwork. Through Shell Formation, they also experience an orchestra-style approach, where different musical sections work together to create one unified performance.
Marching Band
Color Guard & Marching Dance brings movement and choreography to the music. Children learn to follow rhythm and tempo through coordinated dance and marching, adding a visual dimension to the musical performance while developing expression, confidence and teamwork.
